SUPREME Sneaker History

Supreme have launched a new feature on their site which records the history of all their sneaker collaborations from 1996 to the present day. Included in the trip down memory lane is the entire collection of Supreme’s extensive activities with Nike SB and Vans, plus other collaborations with Timberland, DC and their own brand sneakers. I’m not always a fan of the Supreme sneaker collabs, but the concepts behind them are always really robust, and its fascinating to see how their ideas have developed over the last 13 years.

Vans SK8-Hi Fringe Pack

The new Vans limited edition sees them take the familiar shape of their SK8-HI and introduce a Native American theme. By adding a moccasin style toe, fringe detail and embroidery to the well-known shape and padded collar they have subtly twisted this classic design to give it a whole new feel.

Raf Simons X Dr Martens Metallic Boots

Raf Simons latest collaboration with Dr Martens is a reinvention of the youth cult classic 8 hole boot. Keeping the familiar silhouette, yellow stitching and air wair sole he has added a metallic leather to the upper. These have been an integral part of many cultural scenes from skinhead to indie, and were a staple throughout my own teenage years, so its great to see Dr Martens working with forward thinking designers like Raf Simons to make them relevant for a modern audience.

Nike SB x HUF Canvas Blazer Mid Collection

Huf SF have created a hugely impressive with Nike SB, creating a quite unique Canvas Blazer Mid. Inspired by the iconic Chuck Taylor the finishing touches are made with the stitched swoosh, silver eyelets, dual white brand tags as well as the construction with the canvas upper, the thin canvas tongue, and Harbor midsole. In addition to the sneaker, a small collection of clothing has been created with a work jacket, tees and trucker cap completing the release which is slated for November 7 exclusively at HUF San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Medicom Toy x THE BLACK SENSE MARKET 1000% Stainless Steel Bearbrick

Here is more form THE BLACK SENSE MARKET, which has been creating a lot of talk having culminated some of the most well established names in Japan for the SENSE Magazine’s 9th anniversary. Here is a 1000% Stainless Steel Bearbrick created with the illustrious Medicom Toy. Releasing Saturday October 24 at the highly coveted Contemporary Fix, it also comes with an audacious price tag of ¥ 5,250,000 JPY (approximately $58,000 USD).

They work, and i think they dont move, so u dont have to be stressed about fixing the shape up or anything.

Plus, this look looks so cool, i wonder if any Japanese guy could pull this one off.

DANCERS DANCED, BANDS PLAYED COUPLE OF SONGS, PEOPLE DANCED TO THE DJ, PEOPLE DRANK, A LOT, AND PEOPLE ATE, A LOT.

WAS RAINING, BUT THE VIEW WAS PERFECT.

AND MUSIC WAS AWESOME.
